Originally from Lancashire, I moved to Belgium when I was 15 where I lived for 7 years and finally settled in Walton-on-Thames over 20 years ago, where I have raised my family.  For several years I worked for KPMG as a tax advisor but since having children have worked in the voluntary sector  - I currently volunteer for the Walton and Hersham Foodbank and Chair its Steering Group - and in 2022 was elected as a Borough Councillor for Walton South.

Walton-on-Thames is the largest town in Elmbridge, with a wide variety of restaurants, shops and leisure facilities and of course the River Thames where you can enjoy beautiful walks along the towpath.  It’s a great place to live with a fabulous community spirit.

However, it isn’t without its issues, especially in recent years with the downturn in the economy affecting the High Street.  I want to work with the local businesses, the community and my fellow Lib Dem Walton Councillors to reinvigorate the High Street so that it is a place that people can be proud of and where they can enjoy spending their time.  The Halfway in Walton South has a fabulous parade of shops with a much underused green space - I will continue to work with the traders along the Halfway to improve the look and feel of the area to bring a sense of vibrancy and community spirit.  Our aim is to work for our residents, listen to their concerns and take action to ensure that Walton-on-Thames is a town that can be enjoyed by all.
