Lib Dem-led Elmbridge Borough Council extends 30-minute free parking for 2025

The Lib Dem-led Elmbridge Borough Council has announced that the successful 30-minute free parking scheme in Walton Town Centre car parks will continue throughout 2025/26, and will be expanded to 10 local village car parks.

This scheme has received widespread support from the local community and has had a positive impact on the local economy by encouraging residents to shop locally in Elmbridge. The extension of the scheme to village car parks will have a similar effect and improve the level of footfall on our high streets.

The Lib Dem/Residents association administration is also continuing to offer the discounted parking scheme for lower-income residents who work and live in Elmbridge and small business owners and employees. This scheme has saved residents up to £1,200 per year, which can then be spent in the local economy.
