Cllr Pippa Graeme joins the Liberal Democrats

Cllr Pippa Graeme, who has served as the councillor for Weybridge & St. George’s ward at Elmbridge Borough Council since May 2023 has announced her decision to leave the Weybridge & St. George’s Independents and join the Liberal Democrats.

After much reflection, Pippa expressed her belief that the values and approach of the Liberal Democrats align closely with her own, reinforcing her commitment to work collaboratively and effectively for the benefit of local residents. She remains committed to addressing key issues affecting the residents of Weybridge & St. George’s.

In a statement to the residents, Pippa said, “This decision does not change my dedication to serving our community. It simply strengthens my ability to deliver positive outcomes for the residents of Weybridge & St. George’s. Over the past years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside members of the Liberal Democrats as part of the joint administration at Elmbridge Borough Council, and I believe this move will allow me to continue building on the progress we’ve made together.”

She also reassured constituents that her focus remains on their needs, and she is available to discuss any concerns or issues that may arise in the future. She emphasized that her decision will enhance her ability to represent the community effectively at the council level.

“I’m proud to have the opportunity to represent the people of Weybridge & St. George’s, and I look forward to continuing this work as part of the Liberal Democrats, striving for a better future for all of us,” she added.
